The End of the Blue Label Books

Hi Everyone,

Bad news. Amazon has informed me that I can't publish the Blue Label books because they are too similar to the non-blue label books. So I've had to un-publish them. I will do my best to figure out how to provide those to you eventually, but for right now, they are leaving my account. My apologies to all who wanted the Blue Label books.

Love,
Ann

Hmm, interesting. On the one hand, good to hear their content moderation is working to prevent plagiarism, because you'd want them catching somebody else republishing your work with some minor changes. You'd think there would be an exception within an author's library, though.

Not sure how you'd cross-promote them, but what about moving the Blue Label titles to somewhere like Smashwords?

You know what's really annoying about this though? For one things, lots of people were buying them, so there clearly is a demand. Also, there was a 9,000 word difference between the two Dress Coded books. That's out of around 32,000 words. So that IS a significant difference. Not to mention, the nature of the relationship is very different.

I've never figured out Smashwords' coding. I guess I'll need to now.

Smashwords is a pain in the ass the first time through (even with their template), but once you get one document built it's really no different from Amazon.

You could also publish on Lulu.

I need to look into it. The last time I tried to go through their template and their book, I think I injured my brain. :(
