I never had any problem convincing my wife I should wear panties. When I first started dating my now current wife I wore panties. She had no problem with it. In fact she even bought me panties. Then she started buying me stockings, lingerie then started making me wear pantyhose with shorts in public.
You are so fortunate that your girlfriend/wife supported you. I'm envious. My late wife supported like yours but now my girlfriend is so fricken conservative that it is threatening our relationship....
It's definitely fortunate to find a wife who accepts this. I've known more than one girlfriend who said she accepted it, but would act repulsed whenever the time came.
